4 At Home Fixes When Your iPhone Stops Charging
1.
Check that the cable is sitting flush against the frame. If it’s not, there’s a good chance the port needs a clean or the internal pins are damaged.
If you find that the port is dirty, be extra careful when cleaning. We use a pair of fine tweezers and a dentist’s magnifying lamp. If you aren’t comfortable cleaning it yourself, swing by the shop and we will clean it for you free of charge.
2.
Check your cable on another iPhone. If your charger works on another device it’s likely your phone has the issue.
3.
If you have a wireless charger see if that works. If wireless charging works but cable charging doesn’t it’s a good indication the port has failed.
4.
Plug the phone into a computer instead of a wall adapter and see if that helps.
If all else fails the device will either need a professional clean, port replacement or a board repair. We will need to physically assess the device to determine which of these apply. Get a quote now
