Fix WiFi Issues on the M1 MacBook when connected to external display

Problem:

The MacBook M1 model is connected to an external display and is showing that it’s connected to the internet but nothing is loading or the WIFI signal keeps searching and fails to connect.

Solution:

Using a metal card (or another metal sheet), place the card under the external display adapter.

It needs to be touching both the cable and the case of the MacBook M1 to ground the signal from the cable.

Conclusion:

That’s all it takes. This issue appears to be related to the refresh rate or signal between the Macbook WIFI chip and the external monitor.

Unfortunately, this is a hardware issue and it is unlikely to be fixed with an update.
